Terms of Service

Welcome to Houz Helpers! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our services provided through our website. By booking a service with Houz Helpers, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully, as they outline the mutual responsibilities between us and our valued clients.

 

If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our services.

Service Overview

Houz Helpers provides professional cleaning services tailored to your needs. Our services include hourly and flat-rate cleanings based on your home’s size and condition. While we strive for perfection, there are specific limitations to our services outlined below.

Booking and Payment Policies

Hourly Rate: $49 per hour.
Flat Rate Pricing: Based on home size, number of rooms, and general condition. Assumptions include that the home is in reasonable condition and free of excessive clutter. If additional time is needed due to unforeseen conditions, we will notify you to approve any
extra charges.

 

Payment Method: We use a secure third-party provider, Stripe, to process payments. Your card on file will be charged automatically after each service, and a receipt will be emailed to you. Clients must maintain a valid payment method on file. Failure to do so may result in service cancellation.

 

Payment Holds: A hold equal to the booking amount will be placed on your card 24 hours before the scheduled cleaning. If the hold fails, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies

Cancellations:
– Before 24 Hours: Full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the appointment.
– Less Than 24 Hours: A $50 cancellation fee will be charged.

 

Rescheduling: Rescheduling requests must also be made at least 24 hours before the appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not satisfied with our cleaning, contact us within 24 hours of the service. We will re-clean the missed areas at no additional cost. If a re-clean is not possible, we will offer a proportionate discount for the missed areas.

 

Hourly services, however, are not covered by the satisfaction guarantee, as they are time- based rather than outcome-based.

Client Responsibilities and Preparation

If you request that we use your vacuum or mop, we cannot assume responsibility for any damage to the equipment. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that such equipment is in proper working condition.

Safety and Cleaning Guidelines

For the safety of our cleaners and the protection of your home:

  • Cleaners will not use ladders higher than three steps or move heavy furniture.
  • Areas with severe clutter, biohazards, or infestations (e.g., pests) will not be cleaned.
  • If conditions are deemed unsafe, our cleaners may refuse service, and a cancellation fee will apply.

Non-Solicitation Agreement

Clients agree not to hire or solicit our staff for private employment during the service term or for a period of two years afterward. Breaching this agreement will result in a $4,000 penalty, and we may pursue further legal remedies.

Liability Waiver

Houz Helpers is not responsible for:

  • Damage to fragile or valuable items not safely stored before cleaning.
  • Damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, wear and tear, or unsealed surfaces.
  • Repairs or replacements related to improper use or maintenance of items in your home.

Appointment Timing

We provide a 2-hour arrival window for appointments (e.g., 8–10 AM, 10–12 PM). Delays due to weather, cancellations, or other circumstances will be communicated promptly.

Holidays

We observe the following holidays and do not provide services on these days:

  • Independence Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

If your scheduled cleaning falls on a holiday, we will contact you to reschedule.

Changes to Requested Services

Any modifications to your cleaning service must be requested through our office by 5 PM the day before your appointment. Cleaners are not authorized to make changes on-site without prior approval.

Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

Houz Helpers reserves the right to refuse or terminate service if conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, or outside the scope of our work. Written notice will be provided in such cases, and a cancellation fee may apply.

Refund Policy

If a service is canceled within the required notice period, you will receive a full refund. For cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, a $50 cancellation fee applies.

Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated to clients via email or on our website. Continued use of our services after changes signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
